Points Pilot

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Points Pilot (“Points Pilot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our award-travel search service at pointspilot.org(the “Service”). If you have questions, contact us at pointspilotapp@gmail.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. As you use the Service, we store your searches, saved searches, and search preferences (such as home airport, cabin, and preferred transfer partners).

Payment information. If you subscribe to Points Pilot Pro, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card number. We receive limited billing details (such as your subscription status and the last four digits of your card) needed to manage your subscription.

Information collected automatically. We collect basic usage and diagnostic data — request identifiers, timestamps, approximate timing, and error logs — to operate and secure the Service.

Your search text. The text you type to describe a trip is sent to our large-language-model provider (OpenAI or Anthropic) to generate the natural-language summary of your results. We do not send your name or email to these providers as part of that request.

How we use your information

  • To provide award-flight search results and AI summaries.
  • To create and manage your account and search quota.
  • To process and manage your Pro subscription.
  • To maintain, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
  • To communicate with you about your account or support requests.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed to do so:

  • Google — sign-in and authentication.
  • Supabase — authentication and database storage.
  • Stripe — subscription payments and billing.
  • OpenAI / Anthropic — generating the AI summary of your search results.
  • Vercel and Fly.io — application and API hosting.
  • MotherDuck — storage of award-availability flight data.
  • Better Stack — logging, metrics, and uptime monitoring.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Points Pilot or its users.

Data retention

We keep your account information and search data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data by emailing pointspilotapp@gmail.com. We may retain limited records as required for legal, security, or accounting purposes.

Your choices and rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at pointspilotapp@gmail.com. You can sign out at any time, and you can cancel your Pro subscription from the billing portal in the app.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
